For sale is a Cold Steel Customized Trail Master in CPM 3V super steel. Cold Steel already starts out ahead of other makers by offering premium steel at 5/16” thick and now with a very big upgrade using G-10 for the handle, this is as good as nearly any competition in a 9.5” blade!
I did all custom work myself and I am very confident that it will serve the user for a lifetime! Very amazing Steel!
The handle is made from G-10 and is permanently bolted on and epoxied using JB Weld Super Epoxy. It is never coming off under any normal use. I moved the stainless guard up toward the blade about an 1/8” and tilted it. The guard now has a bottle opener as pictured. The tang goes all the way to the end as shown in the pictures and I shaped it into a point to be used for impact. There is a lanyard hole near the end as well. Drilling thru 5/16” thick 3V is nothing short of monumental! Those bolts go thru the tang! The handle has a very firm and comfortable finger grip design.
I had to adjust the snap location to accommodate the new handle. So I just darkened the snap with sharpe . Probably would be better with black nail polish or such. Also I like my knife riding higher so I use the zip ties. The mounting screws are there to use as normal.
